Seek

What this life will never know
Is only what it does not seek.
For anything here to the sun,
Extends my vision to its peak.
With right thoughts it’s true that
highest mountains are made small,
And leaped easier than hard tasks
Which are proven to enthrall.
To reach a beach, full of sand;
to dive into a lake made by a man;
to travel far across this land,
to find the truth which we demand.
There is a saying that proclaims
‘To each his own” and that is life.
But why not change this one to say,
“Who seeks more will not find strife.”
Continue to venture as you please,
and live just to be free.
When you find a mountain in your way.
Do all you can, but do not flee.

Trust Me

Is it a sin if I want you by my side
knowing what heart break you could bring?
For you my heart will surely go through
all tests and many things.
The day is bright and calmingly warm;
Of course, you’re on my mind.
Not letting a second pass without you;
It’s not like me to try.
If one day were woken without the sun
it would be the day you die.
That is the day where all joy falls
and my spirit no longer flies.
But for now hold me like a kite
and use me to fly higher.
Don’t worry about how high we’re going;
we’re flying to desire.
As we ascend into the clouds and
you trust me with all your power.
Now we start to see the sun;
our love blossoms, like a flower’s.
